I purchased this adapter for my macbook pro (mid 2010 model) everything works audio, video and such, but the signal keeps cutting out for some reason my preferences are all set so that my display doesn't sleep, thought that would have solved the issue, but it still cuts out every 20 minutes.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

When the signal is cutting out what do you have to do to bring it back up? Do you simply have to move the mouse and it acts like it was just asleep? Does the Macbook's screen cut out every 20 mins as well? Check to see if you are able to set the screen saver options for the secondary display independently from the main display.

I have already set up both displays to not go to sleep and the only way to bring back the signal is to either turn off the TV and turn it back on or restart my macbook pro. Is it possibly that my HDMI cable is too long?

I would doubt the length of the HDMI cable is the issue.
When the TV screen goes black, does the Mac screen go black as well?
If you remove the Mini Display Port from the computer and unplug the HDMI cable it would reset the adapter completely. If you plug it back in and screen comes back up it would indicate an issue with the adapter. If that is the case I would recommend returning with your RF-AP305 and a copy of your receipt to your place of purchase in order to pursue the possibility of warranty repair or replacement.
If you still have to restart the computer to get it to display again it may indicate a software or hardware problem on the computer. If that is the case you would want to contact Apple for additional troubleshooting steps.

Hello. I am also having the exact same problem, but my HDMI on the TV will cut out about every 5-10 seconds. It would come back onto the tv by itself in 3-5 seconds. This adapter will not keep a consistent signal. My model is RF-AP305. I just bought this yesterday, 01/20/14. please help.

I too am having the exact same problem.
My HDMI adapter, model number RF-AP305, isn't working properly in that the image cuts out intermittently on the TV and the image returns after a few seconds.
How can I resolve this issue?
It is very frustrating that this product isnt't working properly and it seems that multiple customers are having the same problem.
I hope to hear back soon.

If you have done the troubleshooting in this thread already, the only thing I can add is to shut down your computer and unplug the TV. Disconnect the adapter and the HDMI cable. Reconnect the adapter and the HDMI. Turn on your computer and after it boots back up, turn on your TV. If that doesn't work, then I would return it to the store to have it tested to see if the cable is malfunctioning.

On a Macbook pro, use the mirror shortcut key Command + F1. That will correct the problem of your screensaver interrupting what you are trying to watch on tv while using Rocketfish. Do note that some Macs and keyboard layouts may require the usage of ALT+Command+F1
