Rocketfish™ Mini Display Port-to-HDMI Adapter - confused!!!

I plug the hdmi adapoter into my mac and the hdmi into the adapter

but what happens is weird. the tv screen turns into the default background photo that all macs have when you first turn them on when you buy them. this is not my background...

i tried it again with my husbands mac and the same thing is happening.

ive tried unplugging and replugging it all in but the same thing happens. this is something to do with macs and the adapter because when we use our dell pc it works just fine (doesnt need adapter)

can anyone help me out??? :smileysad:

Hello reader,

The product number should begin with an RF- at the beginning.

Re: Rocketfish™ Mini Display Port-to-HDMI Adapter - confused!!!

Hello reader,

Are you able to drag windows over to the secondary display? You might also try changing the output resolution of the secondary display on the Mac. Let me know if this fixes your issue.

Zac

What you have to do is move the webpage or whatever you are doing off the screen to the right and it and your mouse will pop up on you tv.

Re: Rocketfish™ Mini Display Port-to-HDMI Adapter - confused!!!

I have recently purchased the Rocketfish Mini Display port to HDMI for my Macbook 5,1. It says not supported on my computer screen. Is there a way I can get it to work?
