Rocketfish indoor/outdoor Speakers

Just purchased  the Rocketfish indoor/outdoor speaker ( RF-WSP313 )

I have 3 devices on wireless network , mouse, keyboard and Samsung Galaxy...tried to connect the speaker but is NOT being recognized or detected...can I do it manually!?

P.S. Tried pairing the speaker to Samsung Galaxy Legend, with no apparent luck!

Re: Rocketfish indoor/outdoor Speakers

I was finally able to " pair" the speaker to my Galaxy Legend and got the speaker to work hard wired but the wireless connection still eludes me. Apparently the WI-Fi is not connected , even though  3 other devices are functioning with wireless...I'm really puzzled by this! Any help would  be really appreciated!

As you probably already gathered I'm not exactly a computer whiz , just barely  literate.

Hello chierighetto,

Welcome to Community@ Rocketfish™!

The problem is that the speaker is a Bluetooth speaker.  It doesn't connect to your wifi.  It connects to Bluetooth devices and plays music using them.

Re: Rocketfish indoor/outdoor Speakers

Thanks!...I got them working on the cell phone and they sound great!

I was really looking for a set of speakers for my desktop that would connect wireless , I got tired of  the jungle of wires behind my desk , so I got rid of my previous speakers ( which sounded fine ) and got the Rocketfish thinking when I had the money I would get another one.

I'll keep the R/F for outdoors, but I'm still looking for a set of speakers for my desktop, something that  I could connect without  needing to be hard-wired...any suggestion would be welcome!

P.S. If I'm posting in the wrong section I apologize in advance ...my first time!

Re: Rocketfish indoor/outdoor Speakers

Hello chierighetto,

If your desktop has Bluetooth capabilities, then you can pair these speakers to it.  That's going to be the major hurdle.  Your computer will need to have Bluetooth capabilities for almost any wireless speakers.

Re: Rocketfish indoor/outdoor Speakers

Desktop has Bluetooth capability...I have printer, keyboard, mouse and Galaxy Legend  connected...but system will not detect the speakers...I 'm satisfied as thing already are, but I wouldn't mind having the speakers hooked up too. I've had the Geek Squad look into it, and they worked over an hour on it...still not recognize the speakers.

As I said I'm not going to go crazy over this issue, but it would be nice just to understand what is going on!

Thx, for replying!

Re: Rocketfish indoor/outdoor Speakers

Got  new computer running Win 10, so I hooked my old Rocketfish RF-WSP313 to it and it works fine, but I still don't see an icon for my speakers...only audio device showing in Device Manager is Real Tek...speaker sounds fine but they go to sleep too soon if inactive...what must I do to keep them on even when not in use!?

Re: Rocketfish indoor/outdoor Speakers RF-WSP313

Hello chierighetto,

Welcome to Community@ Rocketfish™!

To pair the RF-WSP313 to a new device, first make sure the 3.5mm auxiliary cable is disconnected from the speaker. Then, once you turn the speaker on, the power/pairing light will blink slowly. To put the speaker into pairing mode, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds and the light should blink quickly now. Once the speaker is in pairing mode, try to search for devices from your computer.

If the computer still cannot find the speaker, can you try pairing another device to the speaker using the same method listed above?

Ryan
