Have you ever looked at your photos and thought, ugh, I have so many blurry pictures?  A simple fix may be to purchase a tripod for additional balance.  Whether you’re a professional photographer, someone that just likes taking the occasional scenic picture or family photo, or better yet, a parent looking for something to get for your son/daughter’s graduation gift, you might want to consider the RF-TRP65C, the Rocketfish™ 65” Carbon Fiber Tripod.

This versatile product is compatible with most digital cameras and camcorders.  Perfect for those upcoming graduation pictures, this item features a quick-release mounting plate for easy attachment and you guessed it-carbon fiber design for sturdy camera support.  Rubber feet with retractable stainless-steel spikes give you flexibility on uneven ground and adjustable legs rotate more than 90 degrees.  Fully extended, this tripod reaches an astounding 65 inches and retracts down to 28.7 inches.

Not only is this tripod heavy duty in design, but it’s also very light-weighing in at just under 6 pounds.  If you have any issues with this item within the 1st year, don’t worry, because it comes with a standard one-year factory warranty.

Father's Day

by Communuity Author Communuity Author ‎06-02-2011 06:41 PM - edited ‎06-02-2011 06:46 PM

As Father’s Day is rapidly approaching, I have to dust off my brainstorming skills once again.  Since my father basically has everything he needs and pays for anything that he wants, it’s very tough to go outside the norm and get something not related to golf.

One area that I think he might find appealing is home theater.  The past few years, one of his many home projects has been to work on his outdoor patio area.  He already has the connections for a nice gas grill, a plush dining area and a very large yard for his dogs to play in.  What’s missing?  He has no outdoor speakers.

Who knows what I'm going to get him.  Most likely I'll revert to my norm and buy him some golf gloves, golf balls, or a gift card to use towards whatever he may need to go hit the links.  However, a great home theater item that will always be worth considering is the RF-RBWS02.  This Rocketboost Wireless Speaker can be used either indoors or outdoors and includes a Wireless Sender/Receiver.  This is a 22-watt wireless speaker with up to a 164' wireless range.   It also has a weather-resistant design that holds up against the elements and allows for an easy connection of a single speaker, or up to 2 speakers using the included 3.5mm-to-stereo RCA audio adapter.

So if your father is like mine and needs some outdoor tunes while enjoying his "barbecue time", you might want to look into the RF-RBWS02.

Just Who Do We Think We Are?

by Communuity Author Communuity Author on ‎06-02-2011 06:02 PM

Who makes Rocketfish products? Best Buy is not only a retailer, it’s a manufacturer. So the answer is simple: Best Buy makes Rocketfish products, carrying these products from the ideation period to the point of sale. We’ve been doing it since 2003, designing and manufacturing a wide portfolio of products for our exclusive brands, from computer and gaming accessories to mobile audio and video products. We want to take a moment to share a little bit about the energy and excitement we have for our products and highlight what our brand ultimately means for you.

We’re looking out for your wallet, without compromising on quality:

Here’s a great example: with the Rocketfish iCapsule productivity on the iPad is easier than ever. As more professionals adopt tablets in the workplace, we wanted to create an accessory that allowed for productivity in a portable package. At just more than two pounds, the iCapsule provides the convenience of a laptop with its full-size keyboard and the functionality of a lightweight briefcase with its carrying handle. Its assortment of useful quick keys, including full volume and music controls as well as selection, copy, spotlight and keyboard toggling create the perfect productive environment for serious typists. This is just one of many ways we’re meeting consumers’ needs at an affordable price.

We believe in listening to our customers and constantly improving and advancing our offerings based on your feedback:

Designing, engineering and manufacturing our own Rocketfish products allows us to act as incubators for innovation. For example, we created Rocketfish Rocketboost wireless audio technology because we heard loud and clear from consumers that they wanted an affordable, connected, wireless audio solution that was easily installed throughout the home. Today, our Rocketboost brand agonostic technology is available in a wide variety of products, such as soundbars, headphones, blu-ray players, outdoor speakers, and is being adopted by other manufacturers because it’s easy to use and sounds great anywhere you want.

So what’s your favorite Rocketfish product? What can we do to make it better? Post your comments here or chat with us in the forums. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Take Care,

Earth Day

by Communuity Author Communuity Author on ‎04-21-2011 01:06 PM

Hello everyone,

What do you think of when Earth Day rolls around each year?  Well, since I spend a lot of time watching television and movies with my family, I tend to think about how I can safeguard my home theater equipment from the “ever-impressive” Mother Nature.

One large thunderstorm, lightning strike or even gust of wind can ruin our secondary source of entertainment (Garrett, our son, is a one-child show that leaves you cracking up for hours on end); if you don’t have a surge protector.

There are a few Rocketfish™ surge protectors available to purchase, but I like the RF-PCS12ES.  It not only comes with a $500,000 connected equipment limited warranty, but also is a 12 Outlet surge protector, with 4 AC adapter-spaced outlets and child-safe outlet covers for added safety (which is a must in my case).  For those of you that work from home, it also provides protection for your coaxial, networking and phone line/fax/modem.  Another key feature, and a plus for me (since both my wife and I fall asleep on the couch while watching TV), is that it has 6 master-controlled outlets, which automatically shut down power when connected equipment is idle to conserve energy.

All of this for about $40, money well spent!

Thanks for reading!

Hello all,

I’m not sure about the rest of you, but one of the things that I dread most is Spring Cleaning-or cleaning any other time of the year.  However, when it comes to technology, I’m a bit of a neat freak and love to get rid of any unnecessary files, pictures, or simply re-organize them into one place.

Well, there’s good news for you fellow “techies”, as well as those of you who are not as computer savvy!  The Rocketfish™ 3.5” SATA Hard Drive Enclosure Kit is a Plug & Play device that allows you to install your internal hard drive within the casing.  Then just plug it into an outlet, and you’re ready to go.  With a few simple clicks of the mouse, you can move all of the data you want to save on your Hard Drive and have all of your worries about losing data disappear.  This user friendly unit allows you the opportunity to backup, restore and synchronize your data, so that you never get that “oh my goodness, where are my precious baby’s pictures” feeling.

I’m a married man with a 2 yr old son and one on the way.  One of my son’s favorite things to do, besides messing up our family room and playing with his monster trucks, is to sit on mommy and/or daddy’s lap and look at pictures on our computer.  His eyes light up, then he points to the screen and shouts, “Look, it’s Garrett!” with a huge smile on his face.

With that being said, I think it’s time to do some file transferring and spring cleaning on my computer so I can spend some more time with my wife and son looking at pictures.

Take care!
