Question 10: What should I do if I cannot see video on my TV?

  • Make sure that the connections between the transmitter input and your source device are correct and secure.
  • Make sure that the correct HDMI input is selected as the source on your TV or projector.
  • Make sure that the Power-Symbol.jpg (Power) indicator is lit green and the source indicator (1 or 2) shows the correct input.
  • Make sure that the video resolution from your source device is set to 1080p, 1080i, 720p, or 480p.
  • Power cycle both the transmitter and receiver by unplugging the AC power adapters for five seconds and then plugging them back in.
  • Plug your AC power adapters directly into a wall outlet instead of using a surge protector. Using a surge protector may decrease the data rate and affect the quality of the signal.
  • Make sure that the receiver is not located too far away from the transmitter. To check this, move the receiver into the same room as the transmitter and verify that it works there, then try again in the remote room. If the Sync Indicator_icon2.png (Sync) indicators are off or blinking rapidly, the receiver is too far from the transmitter.

Question 11: What should I do if the picture quality is poor?

[ Edited ]
  • Make sure that the video resolution from your source device is 1080p, 1080i, 720p, or 480p.
  • Make sure that the HDMI cable is connected correctly and securely.
  • The signal between the transmitter and receiver may be poor. Check the Sync indicators on the transmitter or receiver. If the indicator is off or blinking quickly (poor connection):
    • Plug your AC power adapters directly into a wall outlet instead of using a surge protector. Using a surge protector may decrease the data rate and affect the quality of the signal.
    • Move the transmitter and receiver closer together.

  • Make sure that your TV’s volume is turned up and not muted.
  • Make sure that your source is using stereo sound (not surround).
  • Make sure that the HDMI cable is correctly and securely connected to your source device and transmitter.

Question 13: Why are my displays out of sync?

  • It is normal for your displays (such as TVs) to be out of sync because of the time it takes for the signal to travel through the power lines. Your displays are intended to be used in different rooms.

Question 14: What is the HD extender used for?

  • The HD extender connects a video source to a display in another room. This lets you watch content (both video and audio) from a DVD player, cable box, or other video device in another room or both rooms at the same time.
Note: The HD extender is not intended to mirror displays in the same room. There will be a delay between your displays because of the time it takes for the single to travel through the power lines.
