I have a Rocketfish universal windshield mount which I use for my Nexus phone for GPS purposes. The mount is excellent in the summer. But the minute the termp drops below 50 degrees the thing falls off the windshield, and nothing I've found will cause it to retain the suction necessary to hold. The result is the thing is useful to me for less than half a year.
Anyone know of anything other than glue which will cause the thing to hold in cold weather?
Thanks for your help!

Welcome to Community@ Rocketfish™!
That's an interesting question. Do you know the model number of the mount?

The model number would begin RF-.
If it uses a suction cup to attach to the window, remember that rubber will contract when it gets cold, which could lead to it losing its vacuum seal, which is how they stay on the window.

Yes, I realize that's the problem. But when it's cold, after it has retracted and fallen off the windshield, it will not retain suction. So does that mean it's basically unusable for 6 months of the year? Not quite what I had in mind when I bought the things. I bought 2- one for each car. Rather disappointed...

And I cannot find a model numbr as you describe anywhere on the thing. Here's a link to a photo of it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xw5hij3paqy2wt3/IMG_2015
